Tara Hayes is a Pittsburgh based fine artist, painter, and occasional printmaker. Born in New Jersey, she spent majority of her childhood living on the East Coast. This year she is a Distillery Artist in Residence at the Brew House Association in the South Side of Pittsburgh. She currently works at the North Hills Art Center as an instructor for youth classes in ceramics and painting.

She earned an MFA in 2D Fine Art at Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston. In 2021, she was featured in the Friend of the Artist Vol. 13 publication. She received her BFA in Studio Art and BS in Art Education from Miami University in Ohio. While living in the midwest, she was a 2018 Yeck College Artist Fellow at The Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Her work has been exhibited in Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Ohio, Boston, and virtually through Kunstmatrix.

She currently lives and works in Pittsburgh with her husband and two Australian Shepherds.
